Last June 21, our province was hit by a typhoon lasting to more than 17 hours and brought about so many hundreds of deaths in our province alone (a passenger vessel sunk in another part of the country), hundreds still missing and thousands homeless. These are scenes I was able to take shots of.
That's the chapel in the subdivision where my mother's house is, aquiles. See the white thing near the tree on top of the grotto? They are 2 benches which floated up there during the height of the flood.
Our country is visited by 20-30 typhoons a year. I think typhoon Frank is one of the strongest typhoons to hit the Visayas area esp. the province of Iloilo and Aklan.
