Another one of the oldest churches here in the Philippines, Guimbal Church, was built by Fr. Campos in 1774. I like the color of the stones used in the construction of this church. From what I learned, the yellow sandstone used is called igang. It was reconstructed twice, 1st after World War II then the 2nd time after an earthquake in 1974.

Iloilo is my dad's home town. I'm afraid this church isnt familiar to me, but its a good capture..as always. :)

Lance, it is a town around 30-45minutes away from the city. It's one of the cleanest town in Iloilo. I have many childhood memories in this town 'cause my aunt lived in one of the barrios around 10 min. away from the town proper. :)

It underwent reconstruction twice 1st due to World War II and 2nd during an earthquake in 1974. It's one of the oldest church in the country pala! Biro mo! I need to take a picture of the oldest one but don't have the chance yet. The facade is very impressive...well, got to show it to you yet...hopefully next year. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Kulit ko no? LOL
