Salsapariglia, Strappabraghe ( Smilax aspera ). Liliaceae family.

It is a shrubby plant with poise Lianos, climbing from the flexible stem and delicate, but strewn with thorns piercing.
The leaves are heart shaped, have toothed margins and spiny and thorny is the median of the lower rib.
The flowers are very fragrant, are small, yellowish or greenish, not very showy and collected in small umbels, flower, where the climate is Mediterranean, from August to October.
The fruits are berries, in clusters that ripen in autumn. They contain tiny seeds and round. Bland and unappetizing to humans, are a source of nourishment for many species of birds.
