These fruits are fleshy and edible beans and ripen from August to October.
In ancient times, these fruits were food for all four-legged pack animals and not only for them !..........

Hi Mario ... Here in Malta we are full of these tress.
During the war even people ate these as food was very scarse. :)

In Italy we eat this fruit, stealing from the military that kept them for pack mules!
