Chengcheng, in the seventies every "hippie" had one...;-))
chinese things and clothes were very popular some day...in the big cities here (like the hague and amsterdam) were a lot of chinese shops.
and I still have it, because I cannot throw away easily nice (and even ugly) things......:)

i know some chinese stuff is popular but i never knew abacus was!!!

oh by the way we have tiny abacus made of gold as pendants, some people wear them on their necklaces because it's said to be able to bring you good luck and keep devils away from you! hope it's true! :)

I have a chinese table lamp with the main frame as an abacus in black.

I used to go to a chinese restaurant close to my place and i love to see the owner making counts with his abacus :)
