Oh very hard Magenta! The green ones around us flit away so fast. I could see this bird in the tree but did not even know what it was. I only guessed a woodpecker because of its stance. I had to lighten up the photo to see what one it was lol.
Oh most definately - I had a wonderful time bird spotting yesterday (no good photos tho). I saw a kestral, a heron, lots of little birds and most importantly, I saw a Fieldfare. (A member of the thrush family). So I am getting lots of sights of birds if not photographs lol.
Thank you Peter, I have to be honest and say at first I thought it was a thrush. Until it moved to the position I took of him. Then I knew he was a woodpecker.
Thank you Doug - now if I had a camera like Denise's think how good it could have been. Did you see the crown of the bird is red and so is his rump? Not easy to notice buy just visible.
