It is amazing what you can find almost on your doorstep. We even have Iron Age burial mounds in the area!!

I do wonder what some of the stories are of the folks that walked over this entry stone. Just amazing!

When this stone was first laid in place as a doorstep they would have been poor farming folk and the land owning families. It was a very small congregation due to very few people living in the area. Must have been a hard living for the priest as they relied on the money given by the cogregation to live on. But then it was farming and hunting land so food would have been plentiful at some of the times.
