This is the view from the veranda of the main house on the farm we stayed at. At 5am every morning you could hear the antelopes etc comming down past our hut to drink and feed. There is a small man made water hole near by and the workers put food in the feeding station for them. They also put mineral and salt licks down so the animals get them in their diet to keep them healthy.

Thank you - it was only taken with a little ips camera!!! I had borrowed it off my daughter as my little camera had broken. And no digital either.

Never say never Doug! I had never thought I would go. Petrified of getting in a plane. Never flown before - but it took 3 flights each way and I loved all but the take offs lol. I aim to go back one day - mobility probs or not!!!!

Denise - I sat their for hours at a time, mesmerised. My favourite of the antelope that used to come near was the Gemsbok. I love that animal so much. My daughter has painted me a picture of one!!!

Very much so Aquiles - if you ever get the chance to go to Southern Africa - GO. You will not regret it.

Thank you Claudia, and the earth really is that red colour. Yet in other places it is almost white - as you can see from some photos!

Not bad for a little eps camera Peter. It took wonderful panoramic views thankfully.

You have to be there to really apreciate the beauty of the place. Unfortunately my little eps did not capture it as clear as a modern day digital cam would. But I think it did me good in the long run.
