My wonderful hostess planned an outing Saturday afternoon at the Rio Grande Zoo, not ever my first choice of places to visit as I have very mixed feelings about animals in zoos, but I won't go into that now, my friends ~

Nevertheless, the weather was pleasant (not the high temperatures I feared) and it is a newer zoo with realistic habitats, if there is such a thing. Oops, said I wouldn't go into that ~

My son Tim did take many pics of the beautiful animals laying around looking bored because they have no room to run, eek, can't stop myself ~

However, there were some wonderful metallic sculptures throughout, much easier for me to relate to. With us is MOLLY, the sweetest two year old I've ever met; I don't usually get to hang with little girls, and here was my second charmer for the weekend.
