Well... if I hadn't missed not one but TWO flights Thursday night out of Portland (no, sadly I am not exaggerating, they shouldn't serve cranberry vodka to people who missed their first flight), I wouldn't have caught this early morning sunshine on the San Francisco Bay on Friday. It was glorious flying into the Bay Area on that first flight of the day, too cool.
The Golden Gate bridge is in the foreground going from Sausalito to San Francisco; the entire Bay Area celebrated its 75th anniversary on Saturday, ohhh ~ crowds and fireworks and partying galore!!
The Bay Bridge is behind, running directly through Yerba Buena Island between San Francisco and Oakland (hi Fleur, I waved at you). Treasure Island is the square, flat man-made island to its left. I spent many hours there when it was a U.S. Navy facility.
The smaller island in the center is Alcatraz, a place I have never ever EVER had any desire to visit, yet all tourists seem to flock there. Haven't they seen that movie, "The Rock," hey?!
More adventures and pics to come from the Bay Area (I was with my brother after all!) and again kisses for the gracious and talented editorial assistance I received to make this such a great reflection picture even from my Apple phone.
