After searching for this vine for five years, I finally found it late last summer at Amazon.com. As it turned out, the vine is only available at certain times in the year (from nurseries) and I had been shopping at the wrong time of the year. It came to me as a couple of little short 'sticks' with roots and I nursed it into a few 3 foot vines before planting it next to a pine tree that has been hosting Poison Oak vines. I took my hatchet to the main Poison Oak vine, but the old vines will support this red passionflower. It is the brightest red flower I've even seen around here.
