Just as I got my camera ready, they flew up in a tree, even closer to my window (must be my lucky day!!). The female in the photo is turned away from the house, but the male gave me a fairly good profile shot. Wish I had washed my windows a few weeks ago when I was thinking about it. Take a look at the largest size if you like pretty birds. The American Wood Duck is a cousin to the wild Mandarin Duck found in China and other parts of Asia. | |
