Look closely and you can see the newer bridge that spans the Apalachicola River at Chattahoochee Florida. The old bridge in the foreground was named 'Victory Bridge' at the end of the second World War.
Thanks for the comment Lucky. This river empties into the Gulf of Mexico where there is a very large estuary and oysters aplenty....supplies much of the East coast of the U.S. with' oysters from Apalachicola Bay.' I've never seen a canoe on this river as the current is swift, with whirlpools that could be a problem for a canoe. The river is low is this photo.
