The picture was taken in a temple in Tamil Nadu which is 3500 years old and is said to be renovated at around 600 Ad. The pillar on which i am leaning has beautiful artistic scluputures and is 2000 years old.

Thank you Icthus !!!!!!!!!!!! its the pillar which has been supporting the roof for a very long time and its really strong !!!!

It doesn't appear in the photograph that you are leaning against the pillar; I wouldn't do so...for fear I may somehow damage it. Good to see you on FT.
