My auction find---mixer $5.00, then had to find at antique stores the proper matching bowls--little bowl $6.00, big bowl $10.00, then the beaters found online new--$20.00-
Can't find the finishing piece---a little red timer dial that goes in the hole on the front---------that's all I need to make it complete (and it would be handy)-----it cranks, and my huge kitchenaid sits in the basement!!
I recently burned up my brand new Cuisinart blender / food processor. While I waited for a replacement base and motor, I pulled one of the antiques down from its display place. I'll tell you what: there won't be any more new blenders in my house. The antique, in a chrome beehive, no less, was far superior to the new one.
Guess what else we have? One of those great mixers like you show here, but in pink! I have a chrome one, and a white one, too, but we're starting to collect pink stuff. Just this past Saturday I was at estate sale, and they had a pink dishwasher and pink built-in oven! Unfortunately, they weren't for sale.
So you know the timer knob I am missing---if you ever see one get it for me!! I have stopped looking--too dangerous!!
What year is the pink stuff from?? And it wasn't custom paint? ---------It can't be that old if there was a dishwasher-------?
