The long stalk of the flower makes it amazing that the thing gets pollinated. The flowers last 3 or 4 days and then, hopefully, there will form a pod at the end of the plant's branch. The pods get pretty big and beautiful hot pink. David said he thinks the plant is related to a Christmas Cactus but is really not sure at all! Ha ha. It is a cool, wild looking plant that is easy to take care of and tolerates indoor lights as well as outdoors on the porch.
