Making food on an open fire is a way to prepare a meal, but more so a way to fellowship with friends and family. We don't call it a BBQ, but a "Braai" (..in any of the 11 official languages in my country). We "braai" any kind of meat on the fire(coals) on a iron-grid or in a black iron cast pot with veggies, called "potjiekos". We also make bread toasted on the fire with cheese, tomato and onion...Lovely!
