I thought I might upload some picture from when I went driving through Europe with two childhood friends of mine.
We flew to Luxembourg, where a nice rental car was waiting for us, and then we proceeded to drive in a huge circle through Europe. We started by heading east, towards Germany (mostly southern Germany - Bavaria) and to Austria. Then south, down to Italy and to the Mediterranean ocean.
From Italy we began to move westwards again - and north. We had crossed the Alps going south, and we would cross them again going north and into Switzerland. From there we went to France and eventually back to Luxembourg.
(Iceland - Luxembourg - Germany - Austria - Italy - Switzerland - France - Luxembourg - Iceland).
This is a picture taken in the first few days of the trip, in Bayern (Bavaria), Germany. It is the famous castle Neuscwanstein near Füssen. It served as the inspiration for the castles in Walt Disney´s fairytales "Cinderella" and "Sleeping Beauty" and has featured in numerous films. It is one of Germany´s most visited tourist destinations. | |
