I just recently came back from a vacation to Denmark & Norway (where I visited frieds & family). This is a picture from a small idyllic Norwegian town called Stavern.
I used to spend my summers there when I was a kid :-) (we were good friends with an Icelandic family that lived there).

The (small) town is renowned for being a centre for sailing boats, -especially wooden ones. There is in fact a festival in Stavern each year, called "Trebåtfestivalen" ("The wooden boat festival")

By the way, I had a lot of trouble taking this photo! -Gaah! Really frustrating!
The batteries had run out, but after turning the camera on many, many times...
(several times! ...again and again)!
(it always turned itself off again instantly)
...I finally managed to take this one picture before it went on permanent strike!

A shot worth fighting your camera for. Reminds me of Venice!

Hi Sheila.

Hehe, yes -you´re right about the "fighting your camera" bit!
I tried, tried and tried again (quite desperately!) to turn it on. Again and again!
-And to "snap" a picture before it beeped and promptly turned itself off again. But to no avail.
Finally though....after I had given up (And waited for a bit), I decided to try just one more time. And that´s when I managed to take this one extra shot :-)
