This is the famous "Hallgrímskirkja" wich towers over downtown Reykjavík
(i.e.: Hallgrím's church).

Hallgrímur Pétursson
(i.e.: Hallgrim, son of Peter)
, was one of Iceland's most famous poets, -and composed (amongst other things) the national anthem of Iceland.
(Wich is in fact a hymn).

Heheh, you´re absolutely right, my dear grimp!

(And none too soon it was, in my opinion). (About the scaffolding being gone, I mean).

-After all, we "Reyk-víkingar" do indeed love our "Hallgrímskirkja". And although we are pleased to have the building properly maintained, we (almost) cannot wait for it to be done! :-)

But a little correction.
The national anthem was written by Matthías Jochumsson and the music by Sveinbjörns Sveinbjörnsson
