Is shows TF-LÍF hovering right in front of the crowd area (to the right). I was stationed up on the roof of the old WW2 flight tower, though :-)
This is the only helicopter that the Icelandic coast guard actually owns, but they rent two more (one Super Puma and one Dauphine).
TF-LIF is an Aérospatiale Super Puma named after Líf, the only woman who will survive Ragnarök. Líf also means "life" in Icelandic.
The vessels & aircraft of the coastguard are by tradition named after gods & godesses from Norse mythology.
