There was a "flight day" (airshow) at Reykjavik´s airport last weekend.
-I didn´t have the super photo equipment of some of the guys around me, but I still managed to get a few cool shots ;-D

This is the Icelandic coast guard flying a a low pass over runway 19
-Fokker F-27 Friendship (a really old girl, -built in 1976)!

Petra is worth to visit at but there are a lot of to see in Jordan, the dead sea, the desert Wadi Rum, more crusader castles, waterfall Hammamat Main! If your mum has any quastion, tell her to write me! :-)
But you country is also very special with the geysers! :-)

Well, Petra is just one of the many places they will go. And they will be in both Yemen and Jordania. I don´t remember all of their itinerary, but I do think I saw "Wadi Rum" on there somewhere. (I´m not really sure what that is, though....maybe there are many Wadi Rum-s?). And they will also be in Sana'a for a while and so on.
I´m sure she´ll have a wonderful trip! :-)

There is only one Wadi Rum. (Wadi is valley)It is a wonderful desert at the Saudi border.
I don't only visit Jordan, but Sinai Peninsula (Egypt) from Sharm El-Sheikh.
