Is this street this busy every day? I'm thinking you took this on a Friday, but perhaps it was Thursday in China? I'm thinking there must be a 16-18 hour difference in time (from Florida....3 hours less in Calif)?

yes, the street is always busy. no cars are allowed, so it is comfortable to walk.
