there are somehow about 57 different minorities in china. each with their very different culture and language. very different way of life. for example the miao have this "wonderful"
way of life, where only the women work and the men stay at home :-))), playing cards or just do nothing or watch the children while the women plow the land, plant or water the produce, do all the harvesting. each minority has different, very colorful costumes and head wear. each with different music and dances. if you really want to see more of it google it and see what wikipedia has to offer on the subject. in beihai a whole mixture has settled all around, none understand the other.
