Very special picture dear Guenther! What a great and warm tone the earth has got here and how big is the field... It almost too big to be worked on by a man/woman(?) alone...
In a way this picture reminds me of Pearl Buck's: The good earth. A trilogy I read more than once.

anna, it is the football field down here at the school. they have planted new grass in a strange way. i am curious if it will take. the method they used was like planting rice. very odd.

i also read all of pearl buck's books when i was still in school. (maybe that's why i am here :-)))
