Exploring the Black Hills of South Dakota.

We continue our journey along the Needles Highway.

We have reached the "Needles Eye". This unusual rock formation about halfway up the highway is the location of the narrowest tunnel. When we drive through this narrow tunnel, we'll have about 3 inches to spare on each side of the Van. :):)

We're next:):) We honk the horn a few times to alert cars on the other side of the tunnel that we are coming through.
My apologies for the quality of the next 3 photos, but holding the heavy camera with the left hand while guiding the Van with the right hand through this extremely narrow tunnel, does not produce very sharp photos.
