We are so able to sympathise from this area of England. Floods devastate so may people's lives and livelihoods wherever they strike.

It has been a very strange season for many in the upper US and Canada.:-)

I can relate ... the house where I grew up was on a flood plain and when we had a lot of rain things would get serious. I can remember several evenings over the years when my father could not return home from work and he would have to stay in a motel somewhere between San Francisco and our house.

It can be a heartbreaking situation and I hope that the people can find safety.
