July 1 is Canada Day.

Canada Day fireworks in Winnipeg.

The rockets are starting to really bursts.



I used the Canada Day fireworks to test out a different lens, a Tamron 28-200.
I also decided to try and use some different techniques of shotting the fireworks.

Laura, in Canada we do not celebrate July 4th.
July 1st is Canada Day, commemorating the foundation of Canada as a nation,
in other words Canada's birthday!

Roger, in general I am pleased, although I found this Tamron lens a bit soft.
What I really had fun with was taking shots in bulb mode, keeping the shutter open but from time to time covering the lens with black cardboard until the next burst. That way I got a combination of 2 bursts in one photo.
