Precious Blood Catholic Church
(affectionately known as the cork screw)

Built in 1967 this spiral-roofed church is the best-known building by Franco-Manitoban architect Etienne Gaboury. Gaboury's work is ubiquitous in the French Quarter, and includes the St. Boniface Police Station, the student centre at the Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface, the new Provencher Bridge and Esplanade Riel.

Nice picture, the roof looks like Swedish architecture.

St. Boniface police station is that the name of the same saint Bonifacius murdered near Dokkum, Friesland in the Netherlands?

November 11 is the day for children to go around the doors of houses in the neighboorhood for a good treat. Candy for a song while showing their handmade lantern.

Quite sensational this abstract roof... and how interesting that it belongs to a church. The catholics I know are much more conservative. :-)

YES.
St. Boniface is the French neighborhood of Winnipeg, and a predominantly catholic area. The area is indeed named after the Saint.
