THE JOYS OF CHRISTMAS

Each year volunteers in Winnipeg, Canada, decorate Christmas trees and exhibit them for one week at the Assiniboine Park conservatory. The event draws a great number of visitors, who have a chance to win a tree. Raffle tickets are sold at $1.00 each and can be deposited in the boxes placed with each tree. The person with the winning ticket for each tree, will have it delivered to and set up in their home.
All proceeds of this event are donated to Winnipeg Harvest, an organization that provides free food and clothing to the less fortunate.
