My 2008 trip to Holland
VIANEN
Vianen is situated on the river "LEK" a major side arm of the river Rhine.
River traffic is heavy. In order to enter Vianen, ships have to go through a lock system.
Sort of like the lock system in Seattle. In order to get from the salt water to Lake Washington, there is a lock system in place. It is very interesting. They also have a fish ladder there to help the salmon get through the locks as well.
