The many canals in Amsterdam cause interesting parking problems. Some 20 years ago, the city constructed low steel railings along all canals to minimize the number of cars rolling into the water below. Although these railings have reduced this problem, they have not eliminated it.
Currently, the number of cars still winding up in the water is an average of 12-15 per month!
I have tried to portray some aspects of this wonderful city that are not shown in the day to day tourist photo's or publication scenes of the City of Amsterdam | |
