AMSTERDAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - SCHIPHOL
KLM - Royal Dutch Airlines, has a flight simulator for every type of aircraft in their fleet. The simulators are able to replicate any type of situation a pilot may encounter in the air. For take-off and landing training, the simulators can replicate any airport in the world to which KLM flies. These simulators are of extreme importance in the training of new pilots, as well as for the mandatory refreshers each pilot has to undergo regularly.
It is our Fotothing friend Hans who plays a major role in the purchase, development and maintenance of these flight simulators.
My good Fotothing friend Hans, arranged for me to spend an entire day behind the scenes of this major international airport, seeing places to which the general public never has access. Long before I arrived in Holland, Hans had arranged for my security clearance. | |
