if I had read this one first I would have had my question answered - that really irritates me.......
I feel like trying to force our arena to allow them - any ideas? :-))
Indeed Bill, I took my S2 to the game, as camera's with detachable lenses are not permitted into the arena.
There is not much you can do about that. The product offered, be it a hocekygame or a rodeo or truck show, is owned by the organizers and they have copyright on it.
Photo's of the event(s) for publication in any form are controlled by the owners/organizers.
Although they do not want to totally restrict their patrons from taking photo's, they want to restrict it to less professional camera's , i.e. non detachable lenses.
That way they have some control over what may be published.
I do know of some venues where any type of camera is prohibited, usually concerts where the performing artist owns all copyright on their own likeness.
