My entry for lamppostfriday. The lamps are made of capiz shells attached to bamboo canes and placed on coconut trees. Capiz is the outer shell of a marine mollusks and can be found in the shallow coastal waters of the Philippines. Capiz shells are more frequently seen made into lampshades, table wares, wind chimes, chandeliers, candle holders, jewelries and other decorative objects.
