Took photos of the celestial trio last night, Dec. 1, 2008. I noticed that one of the planets seems unusually bright so I took a shot and here's what I got. Not sure though if this is Jupiter or Venus. The brighter planet is on the upper left part of the moon. Can anyone help me identify which planet is this?

My guess would be Venus, as the Venusian atmosphere can indeed have a greenish tinge. Also, Venus is the brightest object in the sky. (Well, apart from the sun and the moon, obviously) ;-)
Jupiter would be more of a yellowish tan marble colour. (?) (I think) :-)
Its hard to say though, as the bright green colour in the picture is not the real colour of either planet. - Might be some sort of atmospheric distortion maybe?
Still, -I´d say Venus!

Very cool shot though! Do you have some sort of a telescope??

Thanks Karl. I do not have a telescope. I just relied on my camera's zoom lens. I tried to crop it to make it appear larger so that some of the details can be seen. You're right, I've tried to look for some Jupiter pics on the net and they sure have that yellowish color. Can't seem to find a photo of Venus, though.
