FLYING AWAY

Walking through the paths I find on my way,
Swimming through the lakes that come ahead,
Trying to spread my wings and fly away,
Wiping from my face all the tears I shed,
I see my life running before my eyes,
Everything that I have said and done,
The words I heard, with all these lies,
Being the one they all wanted to shun.
I will go wherever there is a place for me.
I am searching for the place where I do belong,
Where I will stand, not be sent down on my knee,
Find friends that are willing to bring me along.
This place may seem far away from everywhere,
But I am strong-willed to discover it on my own,
This Utopia would be the answer to my prayer,
So I am hurrying towards the deepest unknown.
