Did you see the original version of The Italian Job? I hate it ~ HATE IT! ~ when they shove the Aston and all the rest off the mountain cliff. =(

One of my favourite movies. My dad took me to see it at a cinema when i was about 8; I've never forgotten it. I was absolutely captivated be the opening sequence of the Lamborghini Miura through the Alps; I remember wondering why the driver seemed to need to wind "off" lock after corners, thinking that was kinda odd. Then they crush it with the earthmover and send it off a cliff! ;-(
.....and the Mini's at the end, I couldn't believe they could be so wasteful! Surely they could have saved one for me and the movie would not have suffered?.......surely?!!!!! ;-)

Jackbadger56/JPHarr: Yeah the original Italian Job, great movie. Remakes with all those special effects just cannot touch the originals.

Generally, I'm not against movies being re-made, but that modern version of Italian Job was just appalling ;-(

So was the remake of Alfie, that was pants.

The one that really made me cry was the remake of The Taking of Pelham 123, you cannot replace Walter Mathau and Robert Shaw with anything or anybody...The original was just a classic, period.
