I usually give this bloke some money, because he always seems to be playing Hawkwind songs. As I walked past Woolworths today I heard him doing a lively version of 'Assault and Battery', and suddenly found myself wearing a big cheesy grin. Honest, a proper one. Brilliant.

Oh I've just realised that I was wrong - my local busker doesn't bang a tamborine, he has a mouth organ and kind of 'peeps' a random and mixed note, jigs for a bit in silence and then 'peeps' the same random note again. I like to think he is using music and movement to portray the desolation of the human mind.

.....then again, he's always pissed so perhaps I'm reading too much into his performance. I must try to get a photo of him next time I'm in the town
