I saw someB/W work by Edward Weston and Ansel Adams in the Nevada or Sierra desert of bleached cattle skulls in the sand. Even now it's a popular subject, after the Dust Bowl is completely forgotten. This comes very close in artistic quality.
twsottawan, you're a tough character to read. I've no idea whether your comment about artistic quality is sincere or sarcastic. Since I very rarely see any real artistic merit in my own photographs I'm tempted to go with the sarcasm explanation.
