We're all familiar with the domesticated variety, but few people have had the opportunity to see wild slippers in their natural habitat. Today I witnessed the amazing spectacle of these slippers frolicking in the countryside, and luckily for all of yous I had my camera to record it.

I tried to take a picture of a pair of these mating once, just as I was about to push the button on my old Polaroid they looked straight into my lense ..my finger froze for a minute, i was terrified they might run over and kick the sh-t out of me..
then in one big hop.. they jumped over a bush still attached to eachother and my chance was gone... to this day no one believed me, now you have the proof i can laugh in there faces now.
The one's I saw where older than this one (dirty old sod's) .. i think they where the Grandadian Slipper and the Grandmarian Fluffy Top species, yours looks like the Clarks Flip-Flopalot .. very rare to see one of these let alone 2, you should forward these pics to the discovery channel .. awesome.. thanks for this, i knew i was not seeing things when i was 18 ..

I always thought slippers were asexual?

This appears to be a lone slipper having missed out on acquiring a mate in the spring "rut".
