Sket, those 'fingerless' gloves are originally knitted with fingers on. They then cut them off and send them away as sweaters for orphaned caterpillars.

I had to lie on the ground holding the camera sideways to get this, and my companions, who were a hundred yards ahead, looked back and saw me writhing on the ground and thought maybe I was having a heart attack or something. Not one of the buggers rushed back to see if I was okay though...
