more from our tour last september at the Dutch waterlinie .... september is fortress month so a bit crowded at the forts sometimes !
we went to fort Asperen build in 1845 - 1847 ... to protect the waterworks in the river the " Linge" near Leerdam, this is a so called Tower fort ... was also made stronger in the '30's with modern shelters !
5/8 inside the piramide .. left the main door and at the right a gunport to defend the shelter !
