At the front side of the fort .... 5 enourmous 24 cm cannons where located ... covered by very thick amor steel ... not easy to show the huge size of this room ... take a look in orginal size ....inside view .... the now party room is on the backside here !

Great interior shots. I guess these cannons were firing at my dad as he flew over in a Flying Fortress.

no Potterjo... this Fort was build before WW1, and these huge cannons where against ships ... during WW2 the Germans used this fort as a part of the Atlantic wall !
