last friday was the official start of the fortress month ... www.fortenmaand.nl
this was at fort Uitermeer, a beautyfull restaured fort ..i have made foto's of it before but every time its different !!
1/10 a view at the fort and the lock (sluis) .... this lock was burried under the ground for ages .. till last year when the removed the sand ..and now even they connected the river Vecht again with the forts ditch ...like it was in the old days !! .... it looks better everytime i visit it !!

Het fort ziet er oud uit.

Rissan dit word niet verder gerestaureerd ..en dat vind ik nu zo mooi ...ze laten het nu zoals het is ...een soort "bevriezen" ...niet alle forten restaureren daar worden ze niet altijd mooier van !!

Great Hans, the argument is about restauration, I think it is great as it is
now, you can see everything, but no modern work....it is good...
even the "sluis" is great this way, at least now you know it is there...!!!!
as long as it can withstand the harsh weather..... it is wonderfull....
