What a novel idea did you soak it first to get it sprouting?

just like an avocado seed will root like that, but this is so delicate and lacy looking, then when the roots are established will you plant it? (beautifully photographed)

Yes Stephanie, it works with avocado seed as well but they never made it to become a tree!!

It does look really good...I have chestnuts in the corners of all my rooms as they are reputed to keep spiders at bay...not sure mine are the right sort of chestnuts, though :) think I would be better employed growing roots on them in a glass!
