Eirikstadir, where we visited the reconstructed house of Leifur EIriksson, the Viking who was banned from his village and then took a boat to cross the Ocean ahead. He discovered Greenland and came to Newfoundland.
'Greenland' is an example of early marketing. Leifur cleverly invented the name to make the place attractive to future settlers.
