the Eskimos here have been hunting whales for over 1,000 years...whales and seals are their primary source of food.

I don't knw that any commercial whaling has been done in these waters for the last 100 years, but I could be wrong. I agree, I really think whales are awesome...nonetheless I am looking forward to whaling season here as they cut up the whales on the beach and leave the scraps for the polar bears, which is one of the reasons I am here!
