This is probably the only time I've ever been a bit nervous about taking a photo. I was standing on the ledge, and began getting nervous about looking down. The drop is about ... ummmm ... I'd say 40-60 feet straight down. But I couldn't resist the photo. I think the result was worth it. I don't think any exposure made me more nervous than standing where I was, taking multiple photos. Whew!

Thanks, ujbanyiv. The shapes and colors we encountered were just incredible. I only regret not having come here before now.

An amazing collection. Just where is Torrey Pines park?

Thanks, Apus. Torrey Pines Park is in San Diego, CA. Sorry, I should have added the geological location.

I think I would have been a little nervous, too. :) Good for you for conquering that fear because you got a simply beautiful shot!

Fantastic shot and so glad you came away unscathed.

Thank you, Denise. Thankfully, the place where the cliffs slide down came much later, along the beach. :) After reaching that close to the ledge, I wouldn't have walked away without photos. :)

Thanks, Bill. It was well worth all the hiking up and down the hills and paths for the photos we took then. I hope to do it again, and get better photos. :)
