May 31, 2009: I planted garlic last September and about a week ago I harvested around 30 beautiful purple bulbs. They've been drying in the garage for a week, and this morning I bundled them into groups of 5-10 garlic per bunch, tied them up with string and hung them from the garage rafters. They should be totally dried in another couple weeks, then I can clean off the dirt completely, trim them up and store them in a cool dark cupboard in the kitchen.
